This is an example on how to assemble YMB Rapid in the general way.
Prepare a place of about 45 square CM on a flat desk to put the Base Mat.
The round hole at one of the corners of the Base Mat should face left far from you.
YMB Rapid can be used without the Base Mat, but it's easier to replace printed sheets when the Base Mat is used.
Place the Material Placement Guide on the Base Mat with the square hole facing far from you.
The small round hole on one of the borders of the Material Placement Guide should face to the left.
Set the stick of the Camera in the square hole of the Material Placement Guide.
The Led light switch located on the base of the Camera should face to the right.
Connect the Camera USB Cable to the port of the Camera with the dot.
Connect the other end of the Cable to the USB port on the back of the Main Unit (the light blue port with a dot).
Insert the cable of the Operation Board to one of the USB ports on the back of the Main Unit. You can connect it to any of those ports.
Connect the DC plug of the AC Adapter to the Main Unit (back side) and insert the power cable into a power source.
Switch on the Main Unit. In about one minute, you will hear a voice message indicating that it is already on.
The Camera is folded and it can be unfolded 90 degrees as the picture shows.
The lens at the tip of the unfolded part takes pictures of the materials placed below it. (be sure not to touch the lens).
The LED light switch is located at the base of the Camera.
Whether the switch is on or off might sometimes influence the recognition result, depending on the environment and on the quality of the paper of the material to read.
You can place the Operation Board wherever you like, but just be careful because its cable shouldn't be on the material to read.
Where to place the material
The reading surface is of A4 size.
When you read sheets of A4 size, place them facing left or right on the Material Placement Guide towards its border nearest to you. The corner of the sheet should coincide with the right-angled area of the Material Placement Guide
Warnings
Be sure not to soil or damage the lens of the Camera.
The assembly way shown on this guide is just an example of its general assembly. You may freely change the place of the components to meet the needs of the environment.
But be careful concerning the following points:
The Main Unit might get hot when in use. Don't put it on places in contact with your body.
If the Main Unit gets too hot, it might function improperly. Don't put it in places where heat concentrates.
Also be sure not to put things above the Main Unit.
